I remember leaving preload for the first time, wandering round seeing all the strange sights and the big clover ships. I found a small trade route, using my spirited little green phunka.dll to ferry microchips between Handel's Cove and Grandma's Slippers. Then at some point a player invited me onto a team and gave me small fortune of credits that dwarfed the results of my trading operation. It was with the majority of this princely sum that I was able to upgrade to a shiney new Helga! I remember a lot of other things, building my first tech 9 base with a teammate, then discovering we needed shield 9 in order to equip the shield we built. Salvaging debris from battles in Cursa and joining others in 'running the gauntlet' through the giant red sun there. Basebuilding and PvPing in my Rosburst+ and later in my enforcer and hotrod as well as setting up my own team, which I believe became one of the largest f2p teams at the time. The epic f2p battles and base sieges, multiclienting as many characters with thoraxes as possible to try and kill the bases off.  Owning my own galaxies and building the many specialised alts needed by a long time f2p, each alt with its own specialised purpose. The time spent working on new pvp alts, constantly trying to improve and make the most out of the limited skill points and the excitement of testing a newly built fighter. Then I went P2P and the game got boring. |

I remember the good old days with my 5x basic firing augged hotrod+ and my silver thorax...I killed never! when he was level 150 with my ftp more than half the time with that silly ship  Also remember my Aphrodite augged HR+ with my jellies laser(back when it was awesome), I'd go into colo and pick up green debris until I found that +100% range overloader(back when it was awesome) and snipe people from like 2000 distance I got accused of being a hacker a few times for that...sadface. I also remember being 100% convinced that my greeter was actually a computer. Then again, I was 13 at the time. |

I remember pretending to be a computer a few times anyway, was always humerous. |
