Like I said before, goett told me himself in team chat once that his HM shm can tank kidd for 30 seconds, so I assumed it was true.

Sorry for busting your balls, it just doesn't make sense (TO ME) for the most powerful ship in game to get 1 shotted by a tsunami with full shields.

That's all I was getting at.

The point is to not get hit by the Tsunami. I really think you are not understanding the boss mechanics properly.

I don't know about not getting hit by it, but I do know that the damage dealt by it falls off at 1/r^2, so where you are matters a whole lot.

I've always been curious why the furthest away target gets killed instantly.

During tsunamis there are so many effects going on at once that I can't say for sure that there's not some element that behaves in that way... but the insta-death element targets solely the furthest away target and kills it. Everything else is almost inconsequential, excepting the shield debuff which is mostly just a nuisance.

I really think someone needs to send you back to elementary school, because this is normal understanding.

nt rly, most discussions i take part in dont involve people having a go at them.,

So telling people off because they are way exaggerating with their facts is wrong? I'll just derail a bit now, pretend that this is the subject of a new topic, and this is my post:

Brute Force is bugged!

Ok people so my strong Ultimate Doomsday Machine can kill anything in 2-3 seconds and I have like almost 95% resistance to everything and about 1 000 000 shields and still I get oneshot by Brute Force?!?? This is wrong /discuss.

It seems to me that Paxx realized why I made the thread like I did, because I do go off at people that don't double check their facts. For one, it isn't possible to tank Kidd for 30-40 seconds (my entire team laughed badly at it), and that is goett who is giving out wrong information, leading to a person who probably haven't done Kidd himself (or not very often at least), and then making that paragraph straight out wrong.

If he removes it, then yes, one can just argue that he don't know too much about the Tsunami code that Jeff so kindly filled us in on, and I wouldn't be so harsh with him. But I can apology for having a go at him, like he apologized for putting out some way off facts there, which was the whole reason why I responded like I did.

I can tank Kidd for 20 ish seconds as he is anymore. But my HM+ on full shields and grinch tweaked for 200ish shields has twice been one shotted on full shields by tsunamis.

Btw used to tank Kidd for 1 minute+ but he's been tweaked over and over.

Pos is rdiculous for sure.

Easily avoidable insta-death is not *that* ridiculous. I don't hear you complaining about Brute, who probably harder to avoid the insta-death.

What's the way of avoiding insta pos death? I've yet to see rhyme or reason to it.
If was already posted I apologize but didnt catch it.

You clearly haven't been coming on enough Traders runs. :P

But I do acknowledge that Pos has become substantially harder in C2 and speculate that it's related to fires.

You won't be able to tank his Lion Incinerators for long. Those do too much damage, and if you think you can tank them for 20 seconds even, then I invite you to come with me and I bet those seconds drop down to 4-5 at most. You might be able to tank his Sweeney T's tho for a bit of time.

Kidd is not being tweaked over, it is by the simple fact that he has augmenter slots.

Nah, is an 20 seconds ez.

Fnor has seen me tank him 2ish minutes once while first uni when his slaves were still broken.

But yeh, bit off topic there.

He can tank stuff, get over it and stop discrediting him.

Post subject:  Re: Tsunami's

Well, you really need to precise what you mean about tanking then. Tanking his Lion Incinerators without tweaking is impossible for more than a very few seconds only, but tanking his Sweeney Ts is possible to do forever if that was the case.
