Post Throwing Knives
What if there was a wep or fighter that you can shoot, that had 0 tracking, lowish range, good velocity and nice damage. It could be a fighter, with 0 turning, plenty of radar, so if you can see it and lauch, so can it. Then it drops a knife over the victim [were impacted] or when it runs out of range, so you need to retrieve it in order to "throw" again. The point that makes this different, is that its a stealthy fighter.

You could add stuff like:

Poison tipped knives, that add a nasty nanite.

Flaming knife, that adds vis

Grem knife that adds a grem

Debuff knifes that add recoil, +tempering, -shield recharge ect!

Arrow to the knee knife! -thrust

LF only, has a special launcher?

Knives are small, 1-5 size. Mabe seer only, launches 1 fighter at a time. No added visibility.

Doesn't really make that much sense intuitively haha we're in space. But sure why not? Really just sounds like "physical" weapon, it has to be some type of damage anyways

Would take a lot of effort to get to work correctly, which is generally not good, since the gain is a small amount of content.

Agreed, but it would be great content. Why not just skip the drop item idea and just have them blow up/get used. Should eliminate most of the hassle right? I mean, you could just add a fighter with an engine of 1 turning. The rest is simple nanites, ect.

Well, the main thing would be making them stop when we wanted them to. Which would have to be a tweak called by a super item to reduce their speed to 0 (or -99%, you know... -2.14b).

We can't make the 'knife' stop when it hits the target unless the weapon is used by a superitem, and that just causes more issues.

Plus Seers have got Virus Lasers and Mines, you don't need any more toys!
