How about subscribing pm from a base or drone to be routed external?

When I am in game I see a chat message that says such and such asset is under attack by some player.

How about allow us to subscribe our cell phones or e-mail boxes to receive these pms from the game externally?

Would result in hundreds, if not thousands, of emails being sent during a major attack... thats alot of bandwidth.

You could just have it connect to an IM system. Gmail has one, and you get logs of it afterwards.

There's planned to be some web based system as well as possibly an alert system but this suggestion seems a bit in the wrong direction and as noted would result in a lot of spam.
