Since the current system doesn't look great and the tabs for engine/shield are unnecessary.

Just one more thing to make ss more awesome

maybe even when you hover mouse over ship, you get brief popup with:

Weapons
Engine
Shield
Energy
Augs

This would be AWESOME

EDIT: Something that would make it less annoying to scroll through ships every time would be the ability to create SUBTABS of ships within the ships menu. With drag/drop functionality.

Such as:

Combat
Trading
Storage

You're the quintessence of the person I was making fun of in the "No" option. If you love text go play zorg. For us in the Twenty-First centrury, a graphic inventory is another thing this game sorely needs. Why not start at the ship tab.

It's a pretty neat idea. Could also perhaps have it so that you can toggle between a plain text list and then a gallery view like this depending on preference.

At least Precursor's idea of having a graphical AND a text mode would work for them so it was a smart "no" option

You're right about it possibly being annoying to sort through 25 ships every day, what if you could increase or decrease the size of the ship image as well? Also editing my post with another idea that would help for this.
